What You’ll Be Doing
As the Production Supervisor / Coordinator for the Printed & Educational Products category, you will be based in Ningbo and serve as the on-site production and sourcing representative for our Canadian team. Reporting to the Category Manager for printed products in Canada, you will ensure the successful development and production of high-quality, safe, and engaging printed products.
This includes:
- Jigsaw puzzles
- Magnetic games and learning sets
- Flash cards, posters, and visual learning materials
- Printed board games and packaging
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight & Coordination
- Conduct regular visits to vendor factories and offices to oversee production timelines and ensure quality.
- Perform sample evaluations, inline inspections, and final shipping inspections.
- Provide proactive updates to the Canadian team on progress, delays, or issues.
- Ensure products comply with children’s safety standards (ASTM, CE, SOR, etc.).
Vendor Management & Sourcing
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Support in auditing and onboarding new vendors specialized in printed and educational items.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize production efficiency and address quality issues.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Canadian category team on production planning, sampling feedback, and R&D projects.
- Support factory visits and sourcing trips by HQ staff.
- Ensure factory documentation, packaging files, and print specs are properly followed.
Who You Are
Required
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (French is a plus).
- Experience with printing processes, game/puzzle manufacturing, or paper-based products.
- Skilled in production planning, QC, and vendor communication.
- Independent, proactive, and comfortable working across time zones.
- Available for frequent travel across China to supplier locations.
Preferred
- Familiarity with international children’s product regulations.
- Experience working with North American brands or clients.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal skills.
